In March 2020, SWA were to due to celebrate 25 years in practice by hosting our #SWA25 Exhibition at @anisegallery in London. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we have had to postpone until later in the year. We wanted to use this opportunity to show some behind the scenes images of the SWA25 exhibits being made and give a shout out to @anisegallery that are hosting a virtual exhibition, 'Architecture Obscura' as part of this year's virtual @londonfestivalofarchitecture ! 'Architecture Obscura' ends tomorrow so be sure to check it out! #collaborators

We are very proud to be working on the creative retrofit of William Ellis School, Highgate. This project focuses on improving the thermal performance and ventilation of the school (300+ new windows!) whilst also modernising classrooms and providing alternative learning spaces, including reinstating and improving access to an internal courtyard. Once on site, two different contractors working in an operational school has meant that continued conversation and collaboration has been critical to the successful delivery of the project. Covid-19 has been a further challenge and we want to take this opportunity to thank William Ellis School and all of the team for their dedication to the project! We have chosen a selection of construction photos to share with you...hopefully as built images to follow soon! Thank you to our #collaborators : LB Camden and William Ellis School Currie and Brown OR Consulting Price and Myers Ali Systems Cosmur Construction #educationarchitecture #retrofit #sustainability #collaborators #sarahwiggleswortharchitects

Great to see progress taking place on site at the new Cycle Hub for Kingston. The Rodeca roof panels have been installed, and we should be seeing some of the final finishes taking place soon. Hopefully we can have a site visit soon to see it in the flesh, in the meantime, virtual tours are becoming the new norm. #kingstoncycle @rodeca_systems_bv

This week is our final #SWA25digital project! We have loved being able to share with you the projects that will feature in our exhibition and hope you’ve enjoyed the taste of what’s to come! . . Our various work in Ebbsfleet inspired this piece, which is focused on ecosystems. In particular, movement and energy flows in response to the different environments within the Ebbsfleet masterplan. . . Lockdown has meant that we have reflected on the change in ecosystem that we are interacting with on a daily basis – for most of us in London, a city to a house. When thinking about how we are moving in our homes, it became apparent that a lot of our energy has been flowing into our tech! With special thought that this week is Mental Health Week, we will all be trying to make sure we have a restful and rejuvenating bank holiday weekend, whatever our current environment. #stayathomewithSWA #ecosystems #environment #mentalhealth

This week's #SWA25digital project is Haycroft Gardens - an eco-house which provides a flexible, sustainable home for three generations of the same family. . . During lockdown, some are now living with their wider family for the first time in years, whilst others have separated themselves from vulnerable family members who they usually live in the same house as. . . Multigenerational living is becoming increasingly important across the UK and this time has helped us all to reflect on how we provide care for our families - whatever form family takes to each of us. This weekend #stayhomewithswa and if you can, lets show our families how much we care! . . #architecture #housing #multigenerationalliving #care #family
