Client: Roseacres Primary School / Essex County Council
Construction Value: £2.26 million
Completion: 2015
Location: Takeley, Essex
A ribbon of diagonal timber cladding ties the new design to the refurbished school. Playful windows and pop-up rooflights bring natural light and ventilation into the classroom to enrich the children’s learning environment
Off-site fabrication (SIPs) was used to reduce material waste on site and accelerate the construction programme, allowing building work to be completed in the short window of the summer holidays.
